After a few days of rain, it was nice to see blue skies and white fluffy clouds. Denis looked on the All Trails app and found Clark County Wetlands Park and Nature Center just a few miles away. Described as a 3.6 mile loop through the wetlands. We were a little surprised to find the loop completely paved but it was a pretty walk and after all the rain, the wash was running strong.

Sunday we went to a Catholic church across from the Mandalay (where Christi & Phil will be staying next week). Actually, the church is not a parish but a shrine. It was dedicated on the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord in 1993. It seats 2,200 and was largely funded by individual and corporate donations. It has some of the prettiest 3-D full size statues I've seen anywhere.

Our friends from Alberta, Tony & Mieke are beginning to head back home but had the good fortune of having Tony's sister and brother-in-law join them from Vegas to Alberta. They are doing it big, with a helicopter tour over the Grand Canyon and train ride. They toured the Hoover Dam and saw the sights in Vegas.
