KIDS FOR A DAY

What a fun day we had yesterday, just like kids. The two heated swimming pools were closed because they didn't have a lifeguard (unlike the states, the law in Quebec requires a lifeguard).  We had our bathing suits on and at the pool when we found out the pools were closed but the kid's park was open.  We found a comfy chair and watched the kids running in and out of the water.  It wasn't long before we joined in the fun.

Only a few minutes from our campground is the Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook. The park puts on a nightly event called the Foresta Lumina Experience and we bought tickets online for the 9:30 p.m. show.  The experience focuses on highlighting the park, its natural beauty and its mysteries. Forest Lumina is a night-illuminated pathway created for one of the most-traveled trails in Quebec, famous for its suspended footbridge, the longest in North America.

It was truly a mystical experience.  I was a little worried that the numbers of people walking the trail would be congested but that wasn't the case at all.  With the exception of when we all lined up to show out tickets and get our wristband, the crowds dispersed quickly and we even had times when it was just the two of us walking in the forest.  Very cool experience and I would highly recommend this experience for everyone.
