HAVING FUN WITH CHRISTI AND PHIL

Yesterday we picked up Christi and Phil at the airport and brought them to the Vegas RV campground so they could see our coach and relax for a while before checking into the Mandalay.

We all had a few hours of rest before going to the Mirage to see Beatles Love Cirque du Soleil.  The show was awesome, so much energy, colors, music and surprises.

This morning Christi met us at church, which just so happened to be across the street from her hotel.  It was nice having her join us for mass.  After church we drove to Red Rock where Christi made arrangements to meet her girlfriend that she hadn't seen in three years.  Unfortunately, without cell service in the area, the meeting didn't go smoothly.  We were supposed to be on the trail by 12:30 and didn't get out there until after 2:00.  Oh well, we still got in a hike around Calico Hills and another one at Ice Box Canyon.  Christi was very happy to see her friend and her new baby boy.

LAS VEGAS EXCITEMENT

We got all settled in to a relatively large site here at the Thousand Trail Las Vegas RV Resort and who shows up but Larry & Gail.  We invited them over for happy hour, burgers and conversation.   Then something weird happened.  The guy across from us comes stomping over and was very agitated.  He interrupted our conversation and started ranting about problems he was having with his boy and other kids in the park.  Talking about how he has involved the police and so on. Not only was he rude but his body odor was so bad we could smell it from 3-yards away.  Thankfully, he didn't stay more than 5-10 minutes.

Needless to say, the next morning we asked to have our site changed and explained why.  Management said they have had numerous complaints about this guy.  My question is, why don't they ask him to leave.  Oh well, we moved, which was a pain, but so glad we're away from all that drama.

We went with Larry & Gail to the Bellagio to see the botanical gardens, Circus Circus to see the show, got a bite to eat at Fremont Street and stayed to watch the freaks there for a while.   It was a long day but we had fun together.

This isn't something you see every day and
the flowers only last a few days

Yesterday, we found out that Claude & Val were staying next store at Sam's Town and we invited them over for lunch.  It was great to see them again and catch up on their adventures in Mexico this winter.

That's all I'm going to tell you because what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.   Thanks for stopping in to say hi.
