Yesterday was a beautiful, sunny California day. We made plans with Tony, Mieke, Kurt and Diane to browse Coachella Valley's College of the Desert Street Fair. For over 30 years, the street fair has been a popular weekend destination and I look forward to going to it. It's an open-air market with more than 300 merchants, artists, a farmer's market and live entertainment.

Thinking how nice it would be to have this swing in their backyard |

| Contemplating a purchase |
There's a lot of tempting things to be purchased but we went away with some local honey, dates and a gluten-free walnut bread. Everyone had lunch in the open-air food court. We found rice-stuffed grape leaves and a chicken veggie bowl that we shared. The falafel was a big hit with Kurt & Diane. Tony & Mieke's Mexican meal was pitiful.
We all went to the Star Wars matinee before heading back to our separate campgrounds.

Today is a chilly, rainy day and a perfect day to make turkey soup. Denis found it a good day for doing our taxes and tinkering with the entertainment electronics that we have yet to completely figure out. The previous owners lost the main control remote and Denis had to order a replacement. Hopefully, this will do the trick.
We went to Saint Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church with Tony & Mieke this morning. The people of the parish were very friendly, the choir was upbeat, the readers read with energy and the priest was funny. The church is named after the first Native American to be recognized as a saint by the Catholic Church. Click

Hope you have a nice day and thank you for stopping in to say hi.
