GUADALUPE MOUNTAINS NATIONAL PARK - TEXAS

This afternoon we hiked the Devil's Hall Trail.  The trail head started from the Pine Springs Campground where we booked two nights.  The weather was perfect with partly sunny skies, a nice breeze and temperature in the high 70's.

Amazingly, if you know us, we actually got on the trail before noon, well just barely.  The hike was varied terrain, which we like, some bouldering, incline of about 1000 feet and the view was spectacular.  In the wash, the trees were changing color and we saw beautiful gold and red maples.  They described the trails as moderate to strenuous and 4.2 miles roundtrip.  We haven't been hiking in a while and felt a bit rusty.  We both had rubber legs by the time we got back to the campsite.  For us, hiking is a challenge but that so tired feeling we experience after a good hike is better than I'm so tired from doing nothing feeling.  If you know what I mean.

Destination Devil's Hall

We very much enjoyed out day together.  I had leftovers that made for a hearty beef and bean burrito with big mixed green salad for dinner.  I topped that off with some red wine that I bought in Niagara Falls.  It just started raining and we're all settled in for the night.

Good night and God Bless ya'll.
