EXPLORING NEW PLACES - ARIZONA & UTAH

After a great night's sleep at Walmart in Page, AZ we took the scenic drive through Navajo country, with a stop at Antelope Canyon.   There are a number of tours in that area and we went with the Taadidiin Tour run by a Navajo family.  They were extremely hospitable, friendly and don't wait for a large group to show up.  Robert our private guide went above and beyond to be sure we got great photo shots. He even took the time to show me how to take a panorama shot. The canyon is awesome even on a cloudy day.
Beautiful color variations

The sun came out just long enough
for this shot of color

Panorama shot - much taller than it appears
Intense crevases

They recommended we drive back 10 miles to check out Horseshoe Bend and said we could leave the motorhome in their parking lot.  What a great recommendation and it was free.

Didn't get a shot of the horseshoe but the river is
horseshoe shaped around the rock formation

The water was a beautiful color of blue green

Finally destination for tonight is the campground at the Monument Valley in Utah just across the Arizona border.  At 7,000 elevations on our way here we ran into a bit of sleet and snow but tomorrow promises to be sunny and I'll be able to take some pics.

Haven't seen this white stuff in a long time
Arrived for tonight's layover

Just a sample of what's in store for tomorrow

Thanks for stopping in to say hi.
