Trans-Canadian Hiking Trail

Side of our house & beginning of trail

Trail Head
Blue skies and sunny.  Decided to hike from our house down to the Trans-canadian Hiking Trail to the trailhead.  It ended up being a lot longer than we anticipated (a good 6 1/2 miles) at least five hours of hiking, up hills, down hills, over rope bridges, over brooks, over rocks.  The terrain is incredibly varied and challenging.  Needless to say, we really deserved that soft serve ice cream at the end of the trail.  Our muscles got a good workout today.  Exhausted!!    From the trailhead we had to walk the street back to our house (that definitely put us over the top).  Any one want to join us next time?
