Thanksgiving

 WOW time flew by since my last post.  When I don't post anything, it's because we're not traveling and have been in unusual circumstances.  Mom & dad were without power for a week and fortunately they were able to stay with my brother, Ken, in Connecticut.  He was without power for a week also but had a generator for electricity and water.  Unfortunately, mom took a turn for the worse while staying there and she is now home with hospice care.  We've been in their driveway for weeks trying to arrange the help she needs.  Mom is 78 years old and dad will be 83 in February.  Dad has never been a caregiver and to start emptying bedpans and caring for mom at his age is very difficult.  Denis has had a few painting jobs and that's been keeping him busy but that's not the direction he wants to go in.  We were supposed to head south the day after Thanksgiving but that's been postponed for at least a week.  I'd really like to get out of here before we get snow.
