Old Orchard Beach

This is our first visit to Wild Acres Resort and it's very impressive. It has four outdoor pools, catch & release pond, minature golf, jacuzzis, tennis courts, convenience store and trolley service to downtown Old Orchard Beach.  From the campground parking lot, it's a six minute walk to the beach.  Old Orchard is seven miles of beautiful uninterrupted beach and it's been a vacation paradise for over two centuries. We walked to the beach twice, once in the afternoon to see the crowds and again after 6 PM when the beach cleared.  We walked to the famous 500 foot pier (the original pier was built in 1898).  The pier is party heaven for you party animals but also has some nice places to eat and enjoy the ocean view.
