Old Orchard Beach

This beach life is just exhausting.  No kidding, there is so much to do here and so little time.  We left early this morning to buy Denis a tie-dye t-shirt, a kite and a couple of wake boards.  Just sitting on the beach reading, people watching and listening to tunes gets pretty boring so now we're ready for some excitement.  I've NEVER flown a kite before and it was fun.  The funniest part was when we tried to bring the kite in and Denis dropped the string.  I know, that's not funny, but watching him running down the beach trying to catch the bouncing string was hysterical, especially the second time.
Unfortunately, we didn't get to use the wake boards because the air was chilly and windy.  A few brave souls were in the water but the waves were not cooperating.

Doesn't he have a colorful personality?
We left the beach early and took a ride to the salt marsh (one of the largest).  Found a geocache along the way and stopped for a late lunch.  The Clambake Restaurant is overlooking the salt marsh which was rather unique .  We had fun feeding the seagulls that wait for people to open the restaurant window and throw food.
Salt marsh has an 80 mile biking trail running through it - we need to bring bikes next time

Flying a kite for the very first time - FUN
