L'Anse-St-Jean

Marie-Pier, Foxy and, yes, we made a campfire
Spent the last four days at the campground in St-Jean.  The drive from St-Ferreol to St-Jean is mostly one-lane country roads with climbing hills, high elevation and plenty of twists and turns.  But the Fjord is beautiful and the campground is immaculate.  We spent the first two days with Keith and Pat.  Then Denis drove the car back to St-Ferreol to pick up Daniel and Marie-Pier (a six hour round trip).  I was so happy that Marie-Pier decided to come along.  The purpose of this trip was for Denis and Daniel to do some father-son time and learn how to fly fish.  So Marie-Pier and I were able to spend time together to get to know each other better.  Her English has improved so much and with my few words of French, we had fun together.  I taught her how to play Cribbage and by the third game she beat me.  I know Denis and Daniel had a great time when they got back all excited about catching four fish, unfortunately, they caught trout and it was the last day for salmon fishing.
Beginning of a new adventure for Daniel
Guess who is taking the photo?

First time ever fly fishing for salmon - perfect weather, cloudy with showers
