Fiesta Keys RV Resort

This is our last night here and I'm glad we'll be coming back.  The location of this park is just perfect and I love the island feel to it.  I have to come back because I've yet to see the family of manatees or the sea turtle that have been spotted here from time to time.

This resort offers more than 30 acres on a private island with a sandy beach, sparkling turquoise water and beautiful sunsets.  We went to the Olympic sized swimming pool and on both occasions, we were the only ones there.  One night we went to the spa and again had it all to ourselves.

The sunset is different every night
Last night we invited two couples from the park to join us for dinner at the Tiki bar and restaurant at the park.  The food was very good and the company was even better.  The mahi mahi fish sandwich is a big hit.  Denis and I split an order of fish tacos that was the best we've ever had.  The chef doesn't skimp on portion size.

This morning we got up early because the closest Catholic church is in Islamorada which is about 20 minutes away and we wanted to get to 9:00 mass.  Today was  the warmest day we've had so far with no wind, so we decided to pump up the kayak and paddle around the island for a while.  That sun was HOT and we stayed out for about an hour.  After putting away the kayak, we both needed a dip in the pool.

Kayaking around the island with very shallow and clear water
Starting to feel rushed because we told Howard and Diana that we'd meet them at 1-ish and I need to shower and eat lunch.  Oh well, we're on island time, and I did tell them  1-ish.   We got together to share with them what they must see when they get to Arizona.  They shared with us some things we should see when we get to Wyoming.  Then a quick game of Mexican Train.  Time flies quickly when you're having fun and 4:00 came fast and Denis still hasn't had lunch and it's fast approaching dinner time for me.    We told Howard and Diana we'd reconvene at 5:30 to play a game of their choosing.  Unfortunately, the mosquitos started biting and we were forced to go inside for a glass of wine and conversation.

Oh I forgot, in between all this, we took a bike ride over to see Jim and Pam to exchange business cards and make plans to get together to discuss Alaska when we get back next week.  We're hoping they decide to caravan with us.

Some people ask us, "what do you do all day?" or "don't you get bored?".   My answer is above, who has time to get bored??!!

We are truly blessed and enjoying the journey.
