The entire day was spent cleaning the coach, car and doing four loads of laundry. As a rule, I don't use the laundry facilities at the campground but the laundry room was air conditioned and very clean. I had four loads washed in about a half-hour and sun dried in an hour. Had plenty of time to brew another jug of Kombucha.
Almost had to run the AC last night with 75 degree temperatures but with the windows open and the roof vents on, it was a comfortable night's sleep.
Off to a slow start this morning. Catching up on phone calls, computer and banking while baking a loaf of cinnamon raisin bread.
Took a short ride into Islamadora to browse the shops. I considered buying a Tilly hat until I saw the price - $85 (OK, it has a lifetime replacement guarantee but I just couldn't justify spending that much for a hat).
Fourteen years ago today we were blessed to have Daniel placed in our home. I remember meeting him for the first time in Portland, Maine. He had some trouble at his foster home and was placed in the care of Sweetser, Maine's most comprehensive behavioral healthcare organization for children. Sweetser has an animal farm and Daniel showed us all around. I remember his beautiful almond eyes sparkled with animation. He was anxious to be placed with a new family.
Here's Daniel on the day he moved into our home. We've had some ups and downs since that day but I wouldn't have had it any other way.
Happy Anniversary Daniel!
