Magic Kingdom's Fantasyland 2014

Got an early start today and headed to Magic Kingdom to see the new park (within the park) called Fantasyland.  It's not officially opening until 2014 but many of the attractions were opened and we saw them all.  It's a Small World sails you through all the countries with vivid color and imagination.  Peter Pan's Flight soars you through the sky.  Mickey's PhilharMagic works its 3D magic on the large interactive screen with smells, sights and sounds down memory lane.  We were disenchanted with Tales with Belle but the little ones liked meeting Belle.  Under the Sea-Journey of The Little Mermaid and Ariel's Grotto were my favorite.  For Winnie the Pooh lovers you'll enjoy The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.  The Barnstormer roller coaster was just my speed.  It's always nice to relax on the Walt Disney World Railroad for 20 minutes (which we did after walking what seemed like a million miles).  They have four steam trains running and the conductors hold a degree in engineering (it's the real thing).

They're constructing a state-of-the-art rollercoaster - only one of it's kind behind this wall
This is just the beginning stages of Fantasyland
Little Mermaid was my favorite
Entry to my kind of rollercoaster - just the right speed, turns and dips
Nice way to get all the way around Magic Kingdom

We had lunch at the Columbia Harbour House.  Who says you can't eat reasonably priced and healthy food at the park?  Denis had grilled salmon, steamed broccoli and couscous.  I choose the veggie chili.  Very tasty and with good sized portions for around $15.

Whoopi narrating the Story of Christmas
It was a full day but Denis wanted more. We rested for a few hours and headed out to Epcot.  Denis wanted to get a picture of Whoopi Goldberg narrating the Candlelight Procession and he did.  Followed by IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth which is a spectacular nightly show filled with pyrotechnics, lasers, fire and fountains on World Showcase Lagoon. Accompanied by dazzling lighting effects projected onto the surrounding pavilions, this award-winning show depicts the history of earth and its people.

A camera cannot capture how beautiful the fireworks were - grand finale was exceptional

For those of your counting, we did everything that is hi-lighted.  This was one of our longest days so far, starting at 7AM until 11PM.  Slept like a baby!

Life is great and we are truly blessed!
