John and Velma

Went to lunch with John and Velma where they met their friends Alex and Marie-Paul.  The restaurant, Yahala Bakery, is German and makes delicious deli sandwiches, pastries and breads.  What a great way to spend a sunny afternoon.  On the same property was a produce store and I bought fresh squeezed organic orange juice, Amish made creamy butter and some cucumbers.  I had just bought OJ for $5.99 at another store but had to try the organic at just $3.99.

Velma has had a tough year medically with knee surgery and cataract surgery but she lost 30 pounds and has a new lease on life.  John's gone completely bald now and looks as handsome as ever.  They've been full-timers for 12 years (we've got a ways to go to catch up with them).

They have the cutest dogs - Here's Vanna
