Mississippi - Louisiana - Texas

Houston, Texas - Partly sunny high 75F low 48F

Said our goodbyes to George and Suzie before we hit the road at 8AM.  Then we it was time to make some serious mileage, about 340 miles.  Left Mississippi, drove right through Louisiana and into Texas.  Found a Pilot and filled up with gasoline, propane and pizza.  Then 10 minutes down the road to Walmart for the night.

I'm still downloading apps for my new Samsung Galaxy S III phone and found some great ones to help  with our travels.  Gas Buddy, My Pilot, Sanidumps Lite, Sams Roadside Assistance, Good Sam and Passport America, Next Exit History, Oh Ranger Park Finder and America's National Parks.  We used the My Pilot and Gas Buddy apps to find out the gas was cheaper in Texas than Louisiana.  The Flying J (Pilot) costs us $3.13 a gallon and we got a whooping dollar off on our propane.  Our friends, John and Velma, told us about the Pilot credit card which saves us about 8 cents per gallon.  Thanks guys.

We met a guy from SC that wanted a picture here - so we took each others photo
