Dad has spent three nights so far at the Soldier's Home and he's adjusting very well. I talked with him last night and he said all they every do around there is eat. It probably feels that way because at home he only ate two meals, breakfast and dinner. He watched a movie in the lounge and does a lot of walking because his room is at the end of the hall from the community room where they eat and socialize. The social worker says he's doing very well and it usually takes a couple of weeks to become acclimated.
My brother is watching dad's dog, Mikey, and that hasn't been going very well. Mikey is extremely spoiled and doesn't know what it's like to be a dog. I'm sure he misses dad and he wants to be with someone all the time. Mikey slept in dad's bed and that's not going to happening at Ken's. Any body want a senior lap dog?
