85th Academy Awards 2013

Palm Desert, CA - Sunny skies, cool temps, breezy

Very quiet Sunday beginning with mass, followed by breakfast at IHop with Tony and Mieke.  Mieke and I shopped the Dollar Store while Tony and Denis looked for faucets at Home Depot.  I purchased two books, Beyond The White House by Jimmy Carter and The War Within by Bob Woodward.  Usually I download books but couldn't pass up two hardcovers for a couple of dollars.

Being the movie lovers that we are, Denis and I look forward to the Oscars each year.  We have all the best picture academy award winning DVDs dating back to 1950.  Now we can add Argo - which we thought was an exceptionally good movie.

We still need to see Les Mis, Life of Pi, Silver Linings and Lincoln.  We're just waiting for them to come out on DVD..... patience, patience!
