I know you've all been waiting on pins and needles to see if Denis could connect those elusive speaker wires for surround sound and the answer is "YES".  He got one speaker working and the other nothing.  I looked in the speaker cabinet, found a wire hanging loose, plugged it in and voila we have sound.  What a huge difference in the quality of sound.

With the replacement of our air filter, new hinges on a bay door and cabinet Denis has finished his maintenance to-do list.  Hip-hip-hooray!

Have you purchased a pair of sneakers recently?   I cannot justify spending $50 to $100 for a pair of sneakers that wear out in a year.  Denis found a pair at Kohl's for $45 and Famous Footwear had a comfortable pair for me for $30.

Denis found a local gunsmith to have our weapons cleaned.  The gunsmith showed him how to do it and we won't have to pay $30 a gun next time.

We were invited to Mike and JoAnn Gay's for a goodbye reunion. The last time we saw them was when they visited us in Quebec two years ago.  We love spending time with this Mississippian couple and listening to their slow and easy "accent".  We enjoyed meeting their friends and sharing good food and conversation.
