Woke up to the sounds of birds chirping and rushed outside before breakfast in the hopes of capturing those noisy little things with my zoom lens.  I think I got some nice shots.

How many of you snowbirds or full-timers know what I mean when I say "oh no, I need a haircut?"   Traveling and finding a good hair salon is not always easy.  I've learned to accept the fact that sometimes I'll get a good cut and sometimes I won't.  My motto is "thank goodness my hair will grow back".  Today was one of those days and in a town called Blythe what are my odds?  Well, they turned out very good and for only $15 for a wash, cut and blow dry.

Stopped at Albertson's for a few groceries and an auto parts store.  I've been wanting one of those silly little shades that stick to your side window with suction cups.  Wasn't sure if they actually worked but I've been side-blinded one to many times by the sun and thought it was worth $5 to try.  To our surprise, they work very well and we both got one.
