Las Vegas Strip

Due to the high winds and ominous skies, this is what we did on Monday.

Amanda and Denis on their tablets - We fought for those recliners
Yesterday the winds died down, the sun came out and we walked the Vegas Strip.  Silly us, we parked at Fremont Street thinking it was just a short walk to the strip.  Three miles later we got to the Stratosphere Casino which is at the far end of the strip.  We walked all the way down to the Ballagio before our legs and feet started screaming.  There was no way we were going to walk back to Fremont so we grabbed a taxi and that was the best $20 we spent all day.  The show at Fremont started at 8:00 and we had time for some much needed nourishment.

Wedding Chapels on every block

Good memories

People waiting in line to see Pawn Stars - some show on TV

Butterfly Garden at the Ballagio

Even though my feet are killing me - we're still smiling

The harpist set the mood for the peacefulness of the Ballagio Gardens

Amanda and the flowers are beautiful

I think Denis is having a good time

New York, New York

Fremont Street Experience - Heart

Next time we visit this area, I would like to take the tour bus which allows you to get on and off when ever and where ever you want.  Has anyone done that?

I don't know about you but when I visit this area I'm very much out of my element.  The people, sights and sounds are extremely foreign and uncomfortable to me.  However, this is THE BEST place to "people watch"

The police and security are everywhere

What a way to make a living

He held this position for the longest time
Thanks for stopping in.

  1. I can't believe you walked all the way from Fremont to the Bellagio. That is a major hike. And you have the same chair and table that Jim has. We love that set up. The Strip is really not my kind of place either but it's also fascinating. I can understand why the people who live and work there never go down there unless they work there.

  2. Wow that is a hike all the way down the strip.
We did Fremont St one night then the next day parked for free at one of the parking garages near the Belagio. And still walked about for hours exploring the unique free stuff and people watching.
Not really our kind of place either, at least we can say we did it.
