SHOPPING IS EXHAUSTING

After breakfast and a little exercise our plan was to hit Walmart, Costco, Target, Macy's and a grocery store. The closest shopping center was almost an hour away.  We had a list a mile long and  a mission to complete.  The new camera 600-1300 mm lens is too heavy and cumbersome to hold by hand.  Denis found a nice sturdy tripod at Target, first problem solved.  While he was in Target, I went to Macy's to search for new sheets and bedspread (we've had the original coach bedspread for seven years).  They were having a 40% off one day only sale and I found a beautiful cream colored bedspread which was originally priced $340 and the matching shams were $80 each.  The sheets were originally $135 for the set.  But you Macy's shoppers know I didn't pay any where near those prices, matter of fact, my total savings was $471.80.  You've got to love Macy's.

Next stop was Costco and it was lunchtime so we stopped at every free sample table and by the time we finished our shopping we didn't need to go for lunch.  I wonder how many other people do that??!!
I like that Costco is carrying more organic products.  Next was Walmart for just a few things on the list.  That went pretty quickly.

Denis didn't tell me when we set off this morning that he was planning on taking in a matinee to see the new Superman movie.  He said it's what he wanted for father's day.  How can I argue with that?  I think the story was a good one but in my opinion they dragged out the fighting scenes and I had visual overload with all the special effects.  I kept asking myself  ... will it ever end?

We found a store called Natural Grocers that sells 100% certified organic produce and I was in my glory.  The fruits and veggies looked great and their prices were reasonable.  I wished they had these stores everywhere.

Denis made up for dragging me to the movie by taking me to Applebees for dinner.  I can't remember if and when we've ever eaten there before but we choose the 2 for $20 special and found it very good.  It's nice not to pay any sales tax in Montana and I have leftovers for tomorrow.

By the time we got home and unloaded all our purchases it was nearly 8:30.  It's still light outside at that time and I find that weird but I'll get used to it.

Hope your day was more relaxing than ours.  We plan on completely vegging out tomorrow.
