ANOTHER DAY IN HOMER, ALASKA

We spent a good chunk of the day putting out some fires in the painting business but after that we took a rather brisk bike ride to the end of the spit for lunch at the Land's End restaurant.

Worked up an appetite

View from our table at the restaurant - If the sun was out, we would have sat out on the patio

Denis ordered the smoked salmon pasta and I ordered the grilled halibut sandwich with clam chowder - we had a 10% off coupon from the Alaska Travels coupon book

You can see how narrow the spit is with water on both sides

The ride to lunch was very nice but the strong head wind going back wasn't so nice

All the shops along the road are cute and "beachy" looking

This bike was unusual
I was thinking about my brother Ken today because he's at dad's house taking care of business.  Dad agreed to rent the house to my Aunt Donna for August 1st and we decided to move all the furniture into the basement until I get back in the spring.   Last weekend, Ken spent a full day there preparing for the movers and today they showed up along with a plumber to move the plumbing into the basement for the washer/dryer.

That's all folks!  Thanks for stopping in.
