We're staying at a nice park located half way between LA and San Diego just enjoying the sunshine and watching the water fowl in the area.

Have you noticed how many new movies are coming out about the "end of the world"? How about World War Z, now that was imaginative. On that note, we've been stocking up on supplies and reorganizing the storage compartments. Based on our government's actions (or maybe I should say, lack of action), the economy and the increasing prices of food, we've decided to be prepared for what the future may bring. Hopefully, we're just being paranoid but if the USA goes to hell in a hand basket, we don't want to participate in the chaos. It can't hurt to have a supply of organic rice, Quinoa, beans, dried milk, coffee, flour, etc. tucked away and maybe we'd be smart to stay away from large cities (that's seems to be where all the zombies start attacking first). Okay, fess up, how many of you have been preparing, one way or the other?
On a happier note, we're looking forward to visiting some friends while we're here in California before heading to Yuma and on into Mexico.
Today we had lunch at Chipotle Mexican Grill. I'm amazed how much Mexican food you can get for $10. We went to Kohl's and hubby was patient with me as I browsed through the sale racks. Only at Kohl's can you spend $43 and save $70.

We always a have a good supply of food, bought on sale, avoid restaurants usually, just because I can usually cook it better and for a lot less money! And stay away from large cities, we country people ya know.
ReplyDeleteAll my life I've tried to be prepared. That's how my folks raised me. It's really hard when your home is a fifth wheel but we do what we can.

ReplyDeleteI think it's only about a 3-hour drive from Yuma. We're leaving the travel plans to our friends who stay in Mexico every winter.
