The morning after my ATV ride I woke up with a sore throat, watery eyes and runny nose. I figured it was an allergic reaction from all the dust I snorted. However, today I think I may have caught a cold so I mixed up a batch of fire water (crushed garlic, ginger, Bragg's vinegar and cayenne pepper) and started taking a couple of tablespoons a day. Hope my home remedy does the trick and fast.
Thursday night we all walked next door to Alex's Catina because we heard he makes the best hamburgers in the area. There were four people at the bar having a good time. One of them was the former owner of the restaurant and he had lots of tales to tell. The menu board had three items on it. Alex had just made fresh ceviche and Denis ordered that. Tony, Mieke and I ordered hamburger with fries. By the way, none of the items we ordered were on the menu and we didn't learn what the cost was until we paid our bill. The food was very good and cost $30 for the four of us, which included two huge margaritas.
Denis had an opportunity to go out for a quad ride with Larry for a couple of hours.

I officially have a head cold, not allergy. Each day has been a stage, first the sore throat, then runny nose and eyes, then sneezing and body aches, now I'm coughing. Last night I slathered Vicks on my feet, put on a pair of socks, went to bed early and slept great. This morning I have that tight, tickling feeling in my chest and dry cough. Time to put my head under a towel and breathe in that steam.
We were surprised when Al and Wendy showed up yesterday. Al's leg is on the mend and they decided to drive in and stay for a night. It was nice to see them both. I was disappointed that I wasn't able to join everyone for happy hour and crazy hat Karaoke night.
That's all folks! Thanks for stopping in.
Enjoy your last few days there and get well soon.
