CASA GRANDE RUINS - GOLDFIELD GHOST TOWN

Happy New Year to all my blogger friends and family!

We walked to church this morning for the New Year's mass to celebrate Mary, the Holy Mother of God.  Because it's mostly gray hairs at the church, the priest talked about the importance of keeping healthy, physically, mentally and spiritually as an example to our children and grandchildren.

After lunch, we drove to the Casa Grande Ruins.  We've been there before but we needed to stamp our passport and this was Daniel's first visit.  We watched the 20 minute video, learned about the Ancestral People that lived in Arizona for several thousand years.  Casa Grande became the nation's first archeological reserve in 1892.

Later, we went to the tourist attraction Goldfield Ghost Town and walked Main Street.  Daniel liked the live reptile exhibit and I enjoyed a cup of tea with pastry.  We watched the gun fight and browsed all the little gift shops.

It was a lovely day.  Thanks for stopping in.

  1. Goldfield is always a fun time. Haven't been there yet this year. Sounds like a good time with Daniel.
