I'M BACK

I think my blogging sabbatical has ended and I'm looking forward to writing again.  Our summer was different from any other.  We had an emotional roller coaster ride filled with both good and bad times.  Here's a quick synopsis of our summer.  We spent some wonderful times visiting our son and daughter in Quebec.  Our son may be selling his house and we needed to clean out our storage area in the basement. He and his girlfriend split up and he's ready for a  change.  Our daughter is living in Montreal and happily working in a private rehab facility as a LPN and she's found a really nice boyfriend.

We spent time in Connecticut visiting my brother and family.  The four of us spent a yoga weekend in Stratton, Vermont called Wanderlust and it was a blast.  Unfortunately, while we were there we received a call from the Soldier's Home telling us that my dad was failing.  The positive side of this was that my brother and I were together when we received the news.  Dad died peacefully in his sleep on June 21st at 85 years old.  I'm so happy that Ken and I were together to share in making the funeral arrangements and handling his affairs.

While in the Connecticut area we had friend and family reunions, graduation parties and work to catch up on.  All that is behind us now and we're ready to start traveling again.  Our first excursion was to Alberta, Canada for a wedding, to visit friends and explore the area.

So that's how we spent our summer in abbreviated form.   I look forward to sharing more adventures with you all.  Thanks for stopping in.
