LAZY US

We've been pretty lazy over the last few days and not feeling at all guilty about it either.  Every morning we take a good 2-mile or so walk around the parameter of the park.  Denis practices his Tai Chi and I spend about a half hour of stretching and yoga.  We set up our shade screen and enjoy our cozy, little porch area when the sun gets too hot.  They have a nice mini-golf and the competition is fierce.  Sometimes in the afternoon we play Mexican Train but Denis doesn't like me winning too many times in a row.

Our nice site - that sunscreen comes in handy and we like the privacy

We both like to read on our Kindles and I've found myself on a religious kick.  I've read Mother Teresa: A Life Inspired, The Shepherds of Fatima and now Messages from the Blessed Virgin Mary by Yasuaki Kikutani.  I not only enjoyed reading them but have learned a thing or two.  Does anyone else find they get hooked on a subject for a while before moving on to something else?  I tried to read Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee but found I couldn't get through it and that's something I rarely do is quit a book before it's finished.

We've been making some pretty tasty meals on our Weber and especially enjoy cooking a whole chicken, roasting fresh red peppers, grilling a split summer squash and cooking up my secret ingredient home made turkey burgers.

Another walk or bike ride around the park either before or after dinner before we settle in for a good movie and off to bed.

Loving life and hope you are too.  Thanks for stopping in and please take the time to leave a quick comment.

  2. We all need to have those so called Lazy Moments. It's your body's way of re-energizing itself for what you'll make it do next.
    Be Safe and Enjoy!

    It's about time.

  3. I agree with George. That is an excellent day as far as I'm concerned. Jim and I are pretty well matched on wins for Mexican Train so we keep playing.
