GRAND DAUGHTER ON THE WAY

Denis and I are very excited about being grandparents for the first time this coming spring.  My son Daniel and his girlfriend Karen were surprised but happy about this unexpected news.  Mother to be and baby girl are healthy and doing well.  I think Daniel is still in a state of shock but they are in love and very happy together.  What more can a mother want.

We weren't planning on spending the summer in the Quebec area but with this happy news our plans have changed.  We look forward to getting to know Karen better and spending time with our son and the baby.

Denis went to Algodones today for a root canal and crown.  He's been gone three hours so far and I'm hoping all is going well.  I'll keep you posted.  I'm just happy the medicine he's taking for his ear, nose and throat infection is working and his cough has subsided, especially that night cough that keeps us both awake.

Thanks for stopping in to say hi.

  1. Jim's appointment for a root canal and three crowns took six hours - just so you know. They were running way behind when they finally got him in the chair. Congrats on grandparenthood. That is such exciting news. Nothing like a baby.

    1. Thankfully Denis wasn't there for six hours. He got in the chair at 8:15 and was finished around 11:00. Everything went well and he didn't need a crown because they were able to repair the tooth.

  2. Congratulations on the upcoming birth of your first grandchild. That is so exciting! Karen is a cutie - I hope everything goes perfectly for their little family.

I also hope that Denis did okay at the dentist. That would be tough having work done like that with a cold type thing going on. Hope he didn't need to cough or sneeze or blow his nose. Can you imagine? Good to get that dental work done. :)

    1. Fortunately, he didn't need to sneeze, cough or blow his nose for the 3 hours he was in the dentist chair. He's on the mend and his root canal went well.

  3. Glad they were able to fix his tooth. I hope to make it down there for some work before I leave.
