RAIN AND RENOVATIONS

Today is a rain day in southern Texas.  We're going to sit it out until the weather clears before going to Big Bend National Park.  We watched the new movie Exodus with Christian Bale playing the role of Moses.  It was a different spin on the bible story but made for good entertainment on a rainy day. Today is also a perfect day to set all our satellite favorites once and for all.  No more scanning through hundreds of channels to find the ones we watch.  Yeah!

We've lived in our motor home for almost nine years and during the course of that time we've removed the sofa bed and put in two recliners.  We removed a chair and my handy-man hubby built a cabinet for a hidden flat screen with lift.  We removed the huge, old television from the front and built a cabinet to replace it.   We removed the old television from the bedroom and built another cabinet for the printer and office supplies.  At long time has passed since we've done any other upgrades until recently.

I already told you about how Denis installed the reverse osmosis system and it works great.  Last week he installed a new satellite system on the roof and now we get more movies channels than we can watch.

I am excited about our brand-new Serta mattress and all new bedding to go with it.  I've been wanting one of those fluffy, light duvets (comforters) and got a great deal on one when we went to Sears to buy our mattress.  As a matter of fact, Sears really surprised me with their inventory of mattresses. We saved so much on the mattress that I was able to buy the duvet, pillows and a heated mattress pad.  Denis says he can't feel the wires but I can so I'm searching for another mattress pad that I can put over that one.  Think I found one on Amazon.  It's supposed to be fluffy, down-filled, bamboo blend and has wonderful reviews.  I'm thinking about it because it goes for $200 and selling for $100. Seems like a lot of money for a mattress pad but the reviews say it's like sleeping on a cloud and who wouldn't want to sleep on a cloud?  Pretty sure I'm going to order a soft, washable duvet cover to say on dry cleaning.  Having a great night's sleep can be expensive but so worth it.

My daughter-in-law is just 10-weeks from her due date - this is our first grandchild and we're very excited
The smell of my Weber roasted whole chicken with baked potatoes is calling my name.  Thanks for stopping in to say hi.
