After spending some time on the beaches of Maine and Cape Cod, we drove the car to visit our daughter, Christi, in Montreal and our son, Daniel, in Quebec.
Christi is making a big move into a new apartment with her boyfriend, Phil, and Denis promised to help her with the painting. We spent a couple of nights there and had the opportunity to meet her boyfriend's mom because the apartment is above her apartment. It's a very nice three-floor brownstone-like building with a beautifully landscaped back yard.

On the way to Montreal, we were passing by the La Salette Seminary where Denis spent two years (ages 13-15) and decided to take the tour. It was a happy trip down memory lane for him. The site was originally home for the Enfield Shakers in the mid 19th century and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The high school seminary opened in 1932 and closed due to lack of vocations in 1974.

From Montreal we drove about three hours to visit our son Daniel, Karen and our new grand daughter, Kiev, and spent three nights there. We had the opportunity to babysit and enjoy our beautiful grand daughter. It was nice to spend time with Daniel and Karen in their home along with their six cats.

Just loving that baby smell

Another stop to visit Tom and Kari Doucette. Tom was a friend of Denis from way back in his days of sailing a Hobie Cat. Tom and Kari are probably the smartest people I know and I'm always blown away by their accomplishments.
