We've been enjoying the desert with our RV friends and members of the Lewis & Clark group. Pot luck dinners, bonfires, omelet dinner (Ziploc freezer bags filled with eggs and omelet fixings then boiled in water), trips into town to visit all the vendors and shop under the big tent. Quartzsite is a unique experience.
We sat for our ham radio exam. Denis passed and I failed but tried again right away. Failed again. Supposed to get no more than 9 wrong and I got 10 wrong both times. The next day I got a call from the examiners, they felt sorry for me and offered to have me take the test again. For me, three times is a charm. Now we both have our call numbers and look forward to learning more about hamming.

The solar panels we installed keep our batteries topped up and we're very happy with our new rig. We're still learning stuff like the auto generator and how to set quiet times. Too cool.
After shopping and walking around, we sat down to listen to music at Beer Belly's Adult Day Camp and have a beer (they had gluten-free for me, yeah).

Today we went into town with Tony & Mieke and had to bring them to see the very unique bookstore there. Those of you that have visited QS know which one I'm talking about but a picture is worth a thousand words.

Glad you are enjoying the desert and got to meet Paul.
