We choose Healing Waters Resort and Spa. It's not a new place and some of the buildings could use work but the large pool was clean and there was only six other people there. The men and women's private facilities had the super hot spa, about 110 degrees, which I could only manage to spend a few minutes before needing to take a cold shower. It was extremely relaxing and so good for detoxing the body. Price was reasonable at $9 each for seniors.
After our soak we drove a couple more hours through the beautiful snow-capped mountains The Winnebago Journey diesel pusher went up those mountains nice and smooth, unlike our prior gas motorhome. Some of the roads were a bit narrow, no guard rails and with a vertical drop that was rather scary but we made it safe and sound to our destination, a Walmart in Alamosa.
We didn't think we'd been to Alamosa before but our National Park book showed that we were here in 2014 visiting the Great Sand Dunes National Monument & Preserve. Guess our memory isn't as good as it used to be.
Thanks for stopping in to say hi.
