Mount Agamenticus Summit

Fried haddock is a treat for us
Today we drove into York, ME and found the Nubble Lighthouse.  Thank goodness for GPS because it was a maze of back roads to get there but we saw mansion-like beach homes along the way.  We drove to Mount Agamenticus which is a small mountain with a lot to offer.  A failed ski resort, the mountain area is one of the largest remaining unfragmented forests in coastal New England.  It is now a protected area in keeping a balance for wildlife, water and recreation.  We hiked on one of the many trails to the summit.  On the way back to camp, we stopped to share a plate of fried haddock in Ogunquit.
