Ile d'Orleans

Decided to go Sainte-Pierre Catholic Church on the island of Ile d'Orleans. It was our first visit and what a lovely community.  Unfortunately, one of the parishioners had a heart attack during mass and an ambulance was called.  After mass we had lunch on the terrace at the Chocolaterie Restaurant.  Then decided to do some geocaching on the island.  We found four geos, bringing our total to 100.  Yeah!  This island is a farming community and we couldn't leave without buying fresh picked string beans, raspberries, strawberries and blueberries.  Yummy!  On the way home, we stopped at a new Brasserie (Pub and brewery) with a terrace overlooking the Saint Lawrence River.  I had an amber beer with maple syrup which was very good.  We shared some Quebec-style munchies and ended a wonderful day together.

I often wondered how they put the plastic around bales of hay - know I know

Very happy with our 100th geocache find
