St. Ferreol-les-Neiges

Still in Quebec watching the leaves change color from bright yellow and orange to brown with falling leaves to match the falling temperatures.  But that's ok because we've been able to spend time with Christi and Daniel.  Yesterday, we drove Christi to Montreal to see her new apartment in the city.  I'm not a city girl and if I was forced to name something that I like about a city, I would have to say "people watching".  Montreal is culturally diverse and multi-languaged with lots of people and traffic.

Christi's is going to share a second floor apartment in a nice section of Montreal located near many hospitals, including Montreal General and Jewish Eldercare.  We were smack in the middle of the Jewish Orthodox area.  Chisti bought us lunch at a kosher restaurant and I experienced falafel (ground chick peas seasoned with toasted sesame seeds served in pita bread).

After meeting Christi's room mate and moving some of her stuff up three flights of stairs we went to several hospitals and nursing homes so she could drop off her resume.  It was a full day and we were all beat by the time we headed back home.  But it was nice to see where Christi is going to be living for the next ten months while we're on the road.
