| Movie star teeth and haircut - now he needs a shave |
Got an early start this morning for our 8AM dentist appointment. Dr. Sonia Edeza Morales in Los Algodones came highly recommended and we were not disappointed. Denis got four brand new crowns and now he has a movie star smile. I had four, yes, I said four, small cavities that needed attention and Susan did a great job. That's it, we're finished until next year. We got four crowns, three soft teeth guards, four fillings, one cleaning and a teeth whitening kit for the bargain price of a little over $1,000. That same work would have easily cost us $6,000 in Canada or United States.

While we were waiting for our teeth guards to be made, Denis bought a tee shirt and we located a hair salon that didn't look too scary. We didn't go to the salon offering hair cuts for $4 instead we opted for one that charged $8 for men and $10 for women. The owner of Itzela Beauty Salon has dual citizenship and spent two years at a high end salon in New York. Remember my blog a few weeks ago about my haircut at Walmart? Well, I liked that cut until it started growing out all lopsided, oops, I guess it wasn't such a good cut after all. Well, she fixed it and gave me an updated doo.

We were in Mexico at lot longer than we had planned and ended up in a very long line trying to get out. We were in line 45 minutes before reaching border/customs.

Always good deals there to be had.

Fellow Bloggers Trent and Teresa were there as well yesterday, but had to wait 2 and 1/2 hours in line at customs to return,
I guess the trick is to get our of Mexico before noon. It's not fun waiting in that line saying no to everyone who wants you to buy something
