Winterhaven, California - Sunny, high 77, low 52
Drove 250 miles from Saguaro National Park to Pilot Knob RV Resort in Winterhaven, California. This is an interesting location because of its close proximity to Mexico and Yuma, Arizona.
This is our first time to this area and we were amazed how many RV parks we saw along Route 8 just packed with motor homes, fifth wheels and campers. So we were pleasantly surprised when we pulled into this park and found it so civilized. Our friends, Tony and Mieke, have been here for a few weeks and we were able to get a site across from theirs. The last time we saw them was when they came to Quebec to visit us, a couple of years ago. So it was fun seeing them again. Mieke's brother was visiting and we had a long happy hour followed by an impromptu steak dinner with all the fixings.
It's been a long day and we're tired. Sorry, no pictures to share with you this time.
That is a busy area for rvers in the winter. Always nice to meet up with friends. Enjoy your time there and have fun in Los Algodones.
