Tucson, Arizona - Sunny skies, high 72, low 40
Drove 50 miles from Benson to
Gilbert Ray Campground in
Tucson Mountain Park just minutes from the entrance to the
Saguaro National Park. Made stops along the way for fuel, propane and Camping World. If you want more information, click on this link:

The campground is county-owned and very pretty. The sites are spaced nicely and we're surrounded by lots of vegetation and cacti. We unhooked the car and drove to the visitor's center, got our national park passport stamped, watched a movie and listened to a presentation by the ranger about the pumas (mountain lions) in the area. They have a female with cubs in the close vicinity. On the way back to the campground, we stopped and took a short walk in the mountain park area with our cameras.
Had a chance to sit outside enjoying the sunshine before coming in to prepare dinner. Made a new dish with rice noodles, chicken, green leaf lettuce, onions, cilantro and rice vinegar. It was light and yummy.
Life is good and God is great.
Love the Saguaro National Park such a beautiful area.
