From St. David to Benson - Happy Superbowl

Benson, AZ - Overcast with possible sprinkles, high 63, low 39

Went to  mass at Holy Trinity Monastery this morning and we were greeted by the resident peacocks with open plumes.  The monastery is run by the Benedictine monks and has a small chapel, oriental garden, museum, art gallery, bookstore/gift shop and bird sanctuary.  It's a friendly community and for many years the same Mexican lady brings donuts and coffee for a social get-together after mass.  The monks bake Benedictine breads and other goodies for sale at the store.  We opted for a banana nut bread.
The peacocks were showing their beauty
We hitched up the car and drove down the road to Valley Vista RV Resort, found a pull-through and plan on staying one night.

  1. Love the broasted chicken there at the Gas Station Junction express, but be sure to order it fresh and wait for it.
