New Mexico to Arizona

Saint David, Arizona - Sunny skies, high 65, low 43

Okay you birders - what is it??
Before leaving Rockhound, we took one last drive to Spring Canyon looking for Ibex.  I thought we'd have a good chance of spotting them at 7:30-8:00 in the morning but, again, no luck.

We drove our 190  miles to St. David RV Resort which is a Western Horizon Park. We snagged a reservation through their affiliate, Resorts of Distinction, but for only one night.  We arrived early enough to do some long-overdue laundry, grocery shopping and a little house cleaning.  Met a few of the very friendly neighbors on what ROD affectionately calls "snob hill" so dubbed because it can accommodate the "bigger" rigs.

For those of you asking about Denis' mom and my dad.  Both of doing very well.  Jeannine decided not to go to Florida this year and is very comfortable in her lovely home.  She got her driver's license back and is happily scooting about town.   My dad  has settled in very nicely at the Soldier's Home's Assisted Living.  The nurses tell me he is always laughing and flirting with them.  When he was home alone, he was depressed, lonely, confused and sleeping all the time.  Now, he's alert, getting lots of exercise and doesn't miss the afternoon's scheduled activity.

Good night

  1. Only one night at St. David? No much time there. You gonna have time to hit Tombstone too? Kartchner Caverns is certainly worth a tour as well.
    Have fun.

    1. ROD would only give us one night. Been to Tombstone a couple of times. We keep missing the Caverns but may get there when we come back through next winter.
