Yesterday, we attended mass at St. Frances of Assisi in La Quinta and it was longer than usual due to the 25 elects receiving their First Scrutiny of Christian Initiation.
It's funny how communication (or lack of it) can get jumbled. Mieke thought we were going to Walmart then Five Guys for lunch, Tony and Denis thought they were working on the rigs and I thought we were going to the street fair. So we ended up going our separate ways with plans to catch up later in the day.
Lots of people at the street fair
Here's my big purchase - the last peeler I'll ever need
Denis got into shopping at this store
Looking good in his Tilly knock-off
The produce was wilting fast but we found 2-pounds of dates for $7 and some tomatoes, cukes, peppers, cauliflower, asparagus and broccoli for good prices. That made for a pretty heavy bag and after two hours of shopping we were both tired and hungry. I gave Denis the option of having lunch there and relaxing for a while and then continue shopping or we could head home and come back next Sunday. Can you guess which he choose? Of course, we went home with the promise of coming back next weekend.
Today, Denis made plans with Tony to repair the rubber gaskets on the bay doors on his rig and our rig. It turned out to be a full day job and required a lot of patience. They are very happy that job is finished.
I started an action-packed book by Russell Blake called "Jet" and spent a couple of hours by the pool reading. If you download free books from Amazon and run across some good ones, please let me know and I'll do the same.
Thanks for stopping in.
Love the C.O.D. street fair we have enjoyed it a few times too.
