Oops, lost two days

Palm Springs, California

What happened to yesterday and today?  They just flew by for us and we never left the park.  Now I'm staring at my computer screen trying to remember what we did.  Hope this isn't a sign of onset dementia.  LOL

What's even funnier, I just asked Denis what we did and he said "nothing".  Oh, come on, I know we did something.  We walked, biked, spent a lot of time making phone calls and catching up on some computer work.

Beautiful

The Soldier's Home oral surgeon found that dad's teeth are in very bad condition (rotting), need to be pulled and fitted for a full denture.  Dad's not very happy about this but the work needs to be done.  They've also scheduled an upper GI because he's complaining about nausea after he eats.  Other than that, he seems to be adjusting very well to his new surroundings.  Every time I call him he's participating in some activity like bingo, karaoke, shooting pool and watching a show.  That's 100% better than sitting in his chair at home sleeping and watching TV.

Denis' mom is doing very well and loves the Nexus Tablet that Denis bought and taught her how to use before we left.  She calls us on ooVoo (like Skype but better) and we are able to show her the places we visit.  She also gets email and likes to read my blog.  She hasn't figured out how to email back but that's ok.

Christi (my stepdaughter) in Montreal has had a heck of a time finding work as a LPN.  But she called yesterday and a Drug/Rehab Facility is hiring her for two months to fill-in for some one.  This might be just the opportunity she needs to gain experience in this field.

Son, Daniel, in Quebec has been struggling with his relationship with Marie-Pier but they are trying to work things out.

Please keep dad, Jeannine (Denis' mom), Christi and Daniel in your prayers if you are so inclined.
