Grand Canyon National Park

Drove to the Grand Canyon National Park and the Ranger told us that no campsites were available and we should turnaround and stay at one of the private parks in the area.  We checked out the closes campground and they wanted $40-$50 a night.  Forget that.  We drove back to the Grand Canyon entrance and parked in the Visitor's Center parking lot.  Walked the rim for about six miles, took some great photos and drove out of the park towards the closest Walmart.  Got there around 7:00 p.m. in time for a light dinner and a good movie.

Quick visit but we covered a lot of area and the view was perfectly clear with blue sunny skies.

Thanks for stopping in.

  1. An awesome view there on a clear day. Nice that you got there to take a peak.
We camped in Williams and took the scenic train ride to the south rim, was a fun day.
