The Worthington Glacier State Recreation Site was a great place to spend the night, we were the only ones there and it was super quiet. This morning we got ambitious and decided to hike around the glacier. It started off easy but soon turned to scary because the surface was loose gravel on steep slopes. You know how you get into a situation and can't decide if you should go back where you came from or push forward? We pushed forward even though my arms and legs were shaking. The view from the top was worth it and we found a nice easy packed trail to go back to the parking area.

The glacier was a beautiful blue color

Climbing on loose gravel is not my favorite thing to do
|
Yeah ... made it

Time to rest and enjoy the view
We stopped to take in the view of Bridal Veil Falls and Horsetail Falls. They were exceptionally pretty and we got some nice photos.

We hit some road construction but finally made it to Valdez. I called a couple of RV parks in the area and they're looking for $30-$40 per night. We'd like to stay here a couple of nights but not at those prices.
We needed to take care of business and found the visitors center with a strong internet connection. Found a Safeway store for some grocery shopping and on the prowl for a good spot to park for the night.
That's all folks! Thanks for stopping in.
Another fun hiking day done, sounds pretty expensive there.
