This is our new favorite place. Today we took our dusty bikes off the roof rack and pedaled around the city. I love the paved bike trail that runs along the shoreline. We saw an adorable sea otter floating on his back eating a fish and grooming himself. We locked up our bikes and walked through the little streets lined with gift shops, cafes, pubs and charter boat companies. The smell of fresh coffee drew us in and we enjoyed a cup of mocha coffee with pastry while sitting outside on the bench doing some people watching. We stopped at an outdoor market for fresh broccoli and tomatoes. The murals painted by local artists were colorful and detailed.

I think murals are much nicer than plain old walls, don't you?
|
Each of these murals told a story about the raven

Here's one of those stories

Isn't this creative?

The skies were interesting today with these low hanging clouds

We came back to our site and practiced taking some pictures with our zoom lens. Then we went for another bike ride to the other other side of the city which is more industrialized. We saw the fish processors, railroad and the huge coal plant. We pedaled around for about five miles and it was fun.

That's all folks! Thanks for stopping in.
Nice pictures again today.
