The insurance company called and notified us that our 2006 Saturn is totalled. They estimated $10,000 in damages. We are happy with the decision and even more happy that we can leave Burn Lake and head south. The temperatures are beginning to drop here especially at night.
We went to the cafe for a cup of their delicious organic coffee, Denis got a dark roast with a shot in the dark because he knew it was going to be a long day. We both had a home made warm mango muffin.
From there we walked to the barber for our $12.00 haircut. It's been over three months since our last haircut and we were desperate. We were pleasantly surprised to get a great haircut plus she called the reservation gas station (she's a 100% native Indian) and we were able to use her status card for a big discount in fuel. We saved $36. Needless to say, she got a very good tip from us.

Then we went to the sani-dump in town before going to say goodbye to our loyal car for the last seven years. We had all our biking gear, hiking gear and kayak in the trunk that needed to be moved somewhere into the coach. The tricky part was where to put our bikes. They're temporarily wedged into the bathroom area of the coach.

It felt strange to be on the road without a tow vehicle but the gas mileage is much better.
That's all folks! Thanks for stopping in.
Great new about you Toad, no carry on down the road and search for a new one.
ReplyDeleteThat is good news. Now you can buy that Chevy - lol. Safe travels.
ReplyDeletePut your bikes on your ladder.
ReplyDeleteGood suggestion but Denis thinks the bikes are too heavy and may cause damage to the coach. I thought it was a good idea.
DeleteGood call Denis. We have friends who ladder fell last October because of the bikes. Sometimes you just have to cram it all into the RV.
