I enjoyed my day today and I think Denis did too. We each did our own thing at a leisurely not-a-care-in-the-world pace. My day started with sleeping in a little later than usual, enjoying toast and a couple of cups of coffee while reading a good book without being in a hurry. The only work I did was throw in one load of laundry and hang it on the line to dry. I rolled out my yoga mat for a slow, meditative yoga practice and 45-minutes later finished a wonderful workout.
Denis went to the pool and soaked up the sunshine around noon. I'm not crazy about getting those noon rays and opted to stay behind to read more and clean out my email. Around 3:00 I was ready for the pool and Denis went with me. I'm not much of a lap person but the pool was empty, warm and I found myself doing a few laps. Doing laps gets my heart pumping pretty quickly and I'm always impressed when I see someone doing laps for an extended period of time. Give me a few minutes and I'm done.

For dinner, again, we each did our own thing. I made an Italian potato salad with lots of garlic and spread some pesto, chopped tomato and grated Parmesan on top of pita bread. Denis warmed up some leftover spinach lasagna and he was good to go.
After dinner, we took a walk around the park to walk off those calories. What a lovely day.
Thanks for stopping in. Tomorrow we'll be on the road for our next adventure.
We often have days where we each do our own thing. If Jim isn't fishing he's messing around with the boat. I like to read and be on the computer. Slow moving days are a relief some times.
ReplyDeleteSounds like our kind of day that we are looking forward to.
