We're visiting RV friends, Gene and Maria, in Aguanga, California. We met them in Alaska and promised we'd visit them when we pass through this way, so here we are. The campground is very nice and I'll tell you more about it in another blog.

This has been a bad year for us with insects invading our home on wheels. We've had mosquitoes, flies, moths and ants. All of which we're pretty easy to get rid of. But we now have some uninvited guests that I'm very upset about. A couple of nights ago we were sleeping when Denis woke up to an insect crawling on his neck. It was dark and he just grabbed it and threw it outside. Another night, Denis was brushing his teeth when he noticed a bug hiding behind the faucet and when he tried it grab it the little bugger gave Denis a run for his money before he could catch it. It looked like a beetle of some kind. Last night I opened a drawer in the kitchen and a big bug scurried away. After a little research on the Internet, we ruled out beetles and crickets and are pretty sure those disgusting bugs are roaches. I'm freaking out and we went to Walmart and bought all the roach ridding products we could find. Has anyone else had this problem?
That's all folks! Thanks for stopping in.
We haven't had roaches in the rig. We had then when we lived in Virginia. They were everywhere. We hired an exterminator to deal with them so I really don't know what to tell you for the rig. Hopefully somebody else will come up with some good ideas. Jim always sprays around the tires and jacks and everything when we park somewhere. I really really hate bugs. We had a moth infestation this summer and it was horrible.
ReplyDeleteThat's a new one for us, I guess we have been lucky. We have had mice a couple times though.
ReplyDeleteWe've had Stink bugs that took us over a year to get rid of them all but not roaches. There are electronic rodent deterents out that i have seen but have heard they have something like that for insects. The problem is they run on electrical power but they do work. Be Safe and Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteIt's about time.
Great idea. We just ordered some electronic rodent deterents from Amazon. Thanks
DeleteThose stink bugs look a lot like roaches. Good luck.
