CATCHING UP ON THE LAST FEW DAYS

I think Palm Springs is unique to the rest of the country and like visiting this area.  I love the farmer's markets, beautiful sunsets, date palms, spectacular sunsets, desert hikes (although we haven't had a chance to do that yet) and picking citrus fresh off the trees.  I'm not crazy about the traffic and four lane highways everywhere but we manage.

We found a chiropractor that uses applied kinesiology just like our doctor in Massachusetts.  While we were in Arizona we went to the "regular" chiropractor and his adjustments were the same on everyone, pop, pop, snap, snap and you're done. I wonder if he did more harm than good.  We liked the infrared heat, electrical stimulation and rolling massage bed but his method, for us, left a lot to be desired.  We had just one appointment with our new chiropractor, Dr. Karen Pope, and feel better already.  This 65 year old pistol is fast moving, fast talking but really knows her stuff.

We, also, found a place for therapeutic massage called Massage Envy.  It's a franchise with over 900 offices across the country.  We each had the hour and one half first-time-visit massage and it was wonderful.  They push for monthly membership and we're considering it.  Anyone know anyone who is a member?

This morning we got to the local farmer's market which was small but had the produce I was looking for.  I got apples, romaine, tomatoes, peppers, kale, green beans, fresh dates and award winning cheese.  The baked goods were too tempting to pass and I got a muffin stuffed with nuts and fruit and had it with a steaming cup of coffee when we got back home.  Next time we'll need to buy two because splitting that lonely little muffin with Denis was a huge sacrifice.

That's all folks!  Thanks for stopping in.

  1. I think I probably wouldn't have shared with Denis. Not with a great muffin. So you are a good wife.

  3. We enjoy the Desert hot springs area not quite so busy there. But it is a nice place to visit.
